Charity baby shower brunch.

Working in radio you form a special bond with people who listen to the morning show daily. I knew I wanted to celebrate my pregnancy with those I’ve formed bonds with. The only thing was I didn’t want them giving me a gifts. Didn’t feel right. I asked my boss what he thought about a having a baby shower brunch with other moms to be and collecting donations to give to a local women’s shelter. He loved the idea. Now I just needed to plan it out.
A fellow radio gal Michele Jersen sent me an email connecting me to Mary O’Brian from “Babyganics.”
They are an organic baby product line, based out of Long Island.

This is Michelle. You can check out her blog called

I met this gorgeous Momma Melissa at the event. She has a blog too,

Mary and I met for lunch one day and she wanted to do an event too. We both settled on brunch. Who doesn’t love brunch? Plus a mimosa bar for the guests who aren’t pregnant. Hello. The best.

She reached out to many vendors she knew to collect items to raffle off. She also had a connection to NYC Mammas Give back. They are a network of New York City area mothers dedicated to improving the lives of moms and young families in need in New York. Our focus is on helping pregnant moms and young children up to age five. You can check them out here,

Next we just needed a venue. Joe AKA Monk our executive producer found a great spot.

Eden local on 42nd street. This stunning venue has the most amazing food. How gorgeous is this space? They provided brunch and a mimosa bar. Matcha pancakes, fruit, omelets and avocado toast. PERFECTION!

Each day we gave away tickets. In all we had over 50 guests. Each brought a donation. So generous.

We raffled off gifts from Ubbi World, Baby Moov, Buy Buy baby, Twelve little and Babyganics.

Britaxus gave us a stroller and car seat to raffle off. Valued at $600.
