Greig Farm in Red Hook.

June in the Hudson Valley is strawberry picking season! Last year we went the end of June and the field was picked clean. I made a note to myself to go the first weekend of June. Greig Farm in red hook is my favorite.

Make sure to wear plenty of sunblock. To find strawberries you really have to search. It’s crazy to see the actual size of a strawberry. Not the monstrous ones you get in the store. They’re tiny and packed full of flavor. My sister and nephews met us. It was the perfect Sunday.

Once you leave the patch head down the street to their farm market. Had a really good lunch there. They also have a shop and an area to see some goats.

You can pick strawberries everyday 8am-8pm.

After picking our strawberries we headed next door to the farm store and cafe.

Can’t wait to make strawberry jam. Sean asked for strawberry poptarts. Going to give it a shot. Stay tuned….

Annie xoxo
