On our way home from Blueberry picking in Red Hook, we stopped to get some Italian food. There’s a place called Savona’s just off route 9! They are Zagat rated.
The breadsticks were to die for. Covered in olive oil and garlic. I ate four. My waist could do without but they were too good.
I was so excited to see zucchini flowers on the appetizer menu. You don’t see them many places. They were stuffed with pesto ricotta.
Sean got the Sunday sauce with meatballs!
I got pepperoni chicken parm! Soooo good.
My little meatball was eyeing every bite. Can’t wait until he can try some.
Overall a great dining experience. We sat on the patio that had a great breeze. The service was amazing. They even asked if we wanted lemon, orange or lime slices with our water. Also asked if we wanted more bread. Typically you have to ask. Which always makes me feel like a jerk lol. If you go in the summer you have to try the limoncello spritz! So refreshing.
